MerchantMate
Shopify Mock Project (Figma Prototype Link)
MerchantMate is a concept for an AI-powered merchandising assistant designed to help independent Shopify merchants reduce the time spent organizing inventory, generating product metadata, and maintaining product discoverability.
By automating repetitive merchandising tasks such as tagging, categorization, and collection building, MerchantMate allows merchants to focus more on running their businesses and less on store administration.
BRIEF
Explore how AI could support small Shopify merchants by reducing the manual effort required to organize inventory, manage product data, and maintain storefront merchandising.
CHALLENGE
Small merchants often manage inventory without dedicated ecommerce teams. As inventory grows, manually creating descriptions, tags, and collections can become time-consuming and difficult to maintain consistently.
INSIGHT AND OUTCOMES
Independent retail businesses often manage rapidly changing inventory. Products are unique, categories evolve constantly, and inventory turnover is unpredictable. For time-constrained business owners, manual merchandising can become overwhelming.
The final concept demonstrates how AI-assisted workflows could reduce administrative burden for independent merchants.
EXECUTION
Used ChatGPT to assist with the IDEATION.
Used Base44 to rapidly explore interface concepts and workflows for the INITIAL DESIGN.
Used Figma Make to refine and PROTOTYPE key user flows.
ROLE
Research, Product Concept Development, and UI Design.
Kid's Club Travel
Brainstation UI Design Project (Figma Prototype Link)
A travel booking site designed for child caregivers to be able access hotels with kids clubs easily.
BRIEF
Identify a user need and craft a website or mobile app based on a
specific use case for BrainStation's UI Design Final Project.
CHALLENGE
While many travel booking platforms exist, few are designed specifically for caregivers seeking family-friendly accommodations with children's programs and kid-focused amenities.
INSIGHT AND OUTCOMES
Research revealed that caregivers often prioritize different booking criteria than traditional travelers, including childcare options, age-appropriate activities, and family-friendly amenities. This insight informed the overall structure and filtering experience.
The project explored how user research, information architecture, and interface design could be applied to a niche travel audience with specific planning needs. It also highlighted opportunities for future usability testing and feature refinement.
EXECUTION
Defined target user persona, looked at competitors for design inspiration, created a mood board and design using Figma.
Created a Google Doc to document IDEATION.
ROLE
Research, Ideation, Creative direction, UI Design
Our Canada Project
CANADIAN RACE RELATIONS FOUNDATION
To celebrate Canada's 150th birthday the Canadian Race Relations Foundation launched the Our Canada Project, which featured 150 stories of accomplished Canadians.
BRIEF
Design a distinct logo for the Our Canada Project and promotional event materials for the Award of Excellence.
CHALLENGE
Design needed to be approved by the Executive Director and organization's Board of Directors. Designs also had to be bilingual compatible as CRRF is a federal crown corporarion.
INSIGHT AND OUTCOMES
Designing for bilingual audiences required careful consideration of typography, layout flexibility, and information hierarchy to ensure clarity across both English and French applications.
The final identity system was applied across event materials, promotional assets, and award recognition pieces used throughout the campaign.
EXECUTION
Used Adobe Illustrator and InDesign to design bilingual-friendly assets for the Our Canada project and the award ceremony. Worked with the printer to produce award plaques, brichures, banners,
advertisements and promotional merchandise.
ROLE
Promotional Material Design, Website Asset Design and updates.

Pioneers for Change
Skills for Change
Pioneers for Change Gala is an annual celebration of the important contributions immigrants make to Canada.
BRIEF
Supporting community engagement through print, digital, and event-based design.
CHALLENGE
Skills for Change required a collection of promotional and event materials that would communicate program impact, celebrate award recipients, and align with multiple sponsor brand requirements.
INSIGHT AND OUTCOMES
The project required balancing sponsor requirements, event branding, and program messaging while creating materials that would remain clear and visually engaging across both print and digital formats.
The resulting assets supported event promotion, sponsor visibility, and attendee engagement across multiple communication channels.
EXECUTION
Worked with communications team, branding strategies, and corporate sponsors to create promotional event assets using Adobe InDesign. Communicated with the printer to ensure that assets were produced correctly and delivered on time.
ROLE
Promotional Material Design, and Print Production.
